Bring attention back to the face
A doll earring gives the eye a second point to follow beside the face. A small stud adds a restrained glint; a hanging shape extends the line beneath the ear. Choose a scale that complements the sculpt rather than obscuring its expression.
The supplied styling images pair blue accents with pale hair, blue eyes and black clothing. They illustrate a colour idea; they are not measurements or a promise of the fit or contents of an item for sale.
Choose shape, colour and proportion
Try a short drop for a clean outline, or a longer ornament when the hairstyle leaves room around the neck. Echo one colour from the eyes or costume, then keep the remaining accessories simple.
In the silver-haired example, a snowflake-like ornament repeats the cool blue accent. The blonde example uses a simpler diamond-shaped drop. Both place a small highlight beside the cheek while a circular pendant connects the palette.
Fit the accessory to the head
Check whether the doll head has an existing compatible earring hole and whether the post thickness, depth and weight are suitable. Use jewellery designed for the head or a compatible removable alternative.
Avoid forcing a post, bending the ear or using untested adhesives on paint and hair. If the head is not prepared for earrings, ask the maker about a compatible option before making permanent holes. Keep chains and hooks clear of rooted hair.
Photograph the detail
Sweep a little hair away from one ear and turn the face slightly so the earring separates from the neck. A broad side light can reveal a highlight without hiding the eyes. Compare a straight-on portrait and a three-quarter view.
Support the head while removing the accessory. Store small earrings in a labelled container so the next styling session starts with the complete pair.
